How you can help!

Support Last Hope by making a donation to help us fulfill our mission of rescuing as many animals we can from kill-shelters; abandonment and surrender. Your contribution goes directly to save dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Your donations can be designated to cover the cost of veterinarian check including current vaccinations and medications, to the care of critically injured animals, for spay and neuter, and memorials. Thanks to donors like you, Last Hope volunteers have saved over 30,000 animals since 1985.

Donate your Vehicle Get a tax-deduction by donating your old car, truck or RV to Last Hope, Inc.. It’s a great way to help save lives... And it’s easy! Just click on the Cars With Heart banner, choose Donate, Choose Last Hope, Inc from the drop down menu and complete and submit the form. You will be contacted and all details will be handled. Receipts for your tax deductible donation will be provided.

Matching Gifts Your gift could be matched dollar-for-dollar by your employer. Contact your company human resources department and ask for employee gifts to be matched to Last Hope. As a 501 (c)(3) we qualify for most corporate gift matching programs. Double your money for Last Hope just by asking your company to participate.

Foster an animal Last Hope receives hundreds of calls a week to rescue abandoned, homeless animals. We have to turn away needy animals due to a lack of foster homes. Go to our "foster a abandoned animal" pages for more information.

Attend our fundraising events Volunteers coordinate a variety of fundraisers through out the year to raise money to save the animals. Check our calendar of events for current fundraisers.

Become a Volunteer Help us with your special skills. Dog handlers are needed at adoption days, set up for adoptions requires volunteers, public relations and communications skills help us reach more people for our events and fundraising, retail experience can be used at the county fair. Any skill you have will be welcomed. Volunteer applications here.

Memorial Giving Commemorate a loved one or family pet by donating to continue Last Hope's mission in your loved one's name. These behests are published in our newsletter. Memorials.

Wish List As a nonprofit, all volunteer, foster-based rescue, we always have a long list of things we need to take care of our animals. Our Wish List has some constants and some seasonal items. Check out the list and decide what you would like to contribute. You can bring the items/donations to any of our pet adoption locations every Saturday at Petco in Apple Valley and PetSmart in Eagan.
