Gizmo
Some of you might remember Gizmo the Pekingese.
He came to us because his previous owners were young and did not take care of his medical needs. He was never neutered, which caused some severe problems for him. This caused his intestines to twist and caused blockages. Without surgery, Gizmo would have died.
It was risky, and we needed a specialist to do the surgery. Part of his intestines had to be removed and he had to be neutered, among other medical issues. After the surgery, Gizmo was on many different medications and in severe pain. You would not have known anything was wrong with him because he was as happy as could be! The wonderful vets and technicians at Southview Animal Hospital fell quickly in love with him, and his foster family did also! He was happy, happy, happy. Even when he had a relapse and was sick and ended up back at the vet, he would not give up! His health was very touch and go for a while, and we were all worried. But after being in foster care and being pampered and loved, Gizmo was feeling great and had gotten healthy!!
It was time to find his forever family. A wonderful woman named Donna came to pet adoption one day and fell quickly in love with Gizmo. Within a few days, Donna brought Tom to meet Gizmo and it was love at first sight! Gizmo found his forever family. He has fit wonderfully into their home and is happier and healthier than ever. I had to laugh at the last picture they sent me this past summer...
Gizmo has it made!
