(June 15, 2006) There is a desperate need for foster homes for kittens in the South Metro! Early summer is “Kittening Season” in Minnesota.  All of the un-spayed female and un-neutered male cats that have been breeding in the spring are now delivering their kittens. It is not uncommon to receive dozens of phone calls daily asking for someone to rescue these kittens. Hundreds of kittens need homes.

Many kittens are healthy and can be placed in adoptive homes immediately! Other kittens are not as lucky and are being treated at local veterinarians and should be available on an ongoing basis. There is an adoption fee of $80 to cover shots and vet checks for all kittens. All adoption fees go to the animals!!

Adoptions: Come to the Last Hope Saturday adoptions at Petco in Apple Valley on County Rd 42 and Cedar from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Adoptions can also be arranged by calling Last Hope directly at 651-463-8747 callers are standing by.

Urgent Need for Temporary Fosters Homes: If you cannot bring a kitten into your home permanently, please consider a temporary fostering kittens in your home. Be a link in the chain of love that rescues abandoned kittens. Last Hope is a volunteer, foster based, no kill rescue. You can provide a loving home to ensure no kittens are euthanized this year!

Last Hope serves the southeast metro including South St. Paul, Eagan, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Northfield and Farmington. Last Hope is a 501(c) (3) no kill rescue, volunteer foster based organization registered with the State of Minnesota.  All funds go directly to save the animals.

If you are not in the southeast metro, contact your local rescue. The need is the same and they can use your help.
