Girl Scouts work towards Bronze Award and Help the Animals!

gs

The girls of Troop 24510 worked on a special award called the Bronze Award which is the highest award Junior Girl Scouts can earn.  They did a lemonade/bake sale to earn the money to buy the supplies and then spent about 10 hours each making fleece tie blankets, dog bandanas & cat toys (socks stuffed with polyfill & catnip)

Thank You Scouts!

The Girl Scouts join Last-Hope for a Special Pet Adoption Day on March 18

The Girl Scouts of Troop 2832 volunteered with Last Hope for the Pet Adoption day at the Apple Valley Community Center. Fox 9 News was there and has some great footage on their website. Click the image below for the video.

The Girl Scouts planned a huge event that included fund- raising for Last Hope, collections of donations onsite of pet food, pet toys, cat litter old towels, blankets and pet treats. They also had an animal trainer, animal groomer and a vet clinic representative on hand.

Last Hope will have an official adoption day with dogs, cats, pups and kittens. Come out and find your next forever friend.

All donations for the event will go directly to rescuing abandoned and abused animals in Dakota County. It was an exciting day and Last Hope, as well as the Girl Scouts of America would like to thank all of the supporters who made this event a success!

Hannah's Birthday Party

My daughter's name is Hannah (second row on the right with the long blond hair), for her 10th birthday she requested that guests bring donations for Last Hope instead of gifts for her. She had a combination of kids from school, Echo Park and from her hockey team, Apple Valley U-10 Eagles. We hope that you were able to put the items donated to good use.
