Gizmo and Gypsy
I wanted to send you all an update on Gizmo.
I adopted 8 year old Gizmo, a snowshoe Siamese DSH cross from you last June. It was love at first site when I met him and I can't explain how much I love this little man. He was adopted as a companion to 2 year old Gidget, a young lady that I adopted after she was badly injured when a car was started with her in the engine. She had a collapsed lung and a diaphragmatic hernia and I just knew that Gizmo would be perfect for her. He was calm and gentle and I knew he wouldn't put up a fight when he met her. Similar to my love for Gizmo, Gidget fell in love with him when she met him. The two bathed together and would lie about in the sun all day long. This past May, after only having Gidget for 9 months, she went into respiratory failure and had to be put to sleep. Gizmo was depressed, but, like the old proverb goes: "When one door closes, another door opens." Gypsy was adopted and the two also fell in love. Gizmos' happy go lucky attitude made their introduction just as easy as the first.
He is such an amazing little man, and I just couldn't see myself without him. I am so happy that I adopted such a wonderful guy, no matter his age, and in all honesty, older cats are such a blessing, so much less of a hassle than the young ones. I am so happy we are together.
Thanks for all you do!
